The synagogue at 415 East 6 street in the East Village will be reopening in a renovated space as a result of a deal with East River Partners spearheaded by Jody Kriss. The developers have a 99 year lease on the top 3 floors which will house 3 luxe condos including a penthouse.
Additionally, the developer will pay a yearly fee to keep the shul running for 200 years. This move saved the rundown over 100 year old building from being demolished. The three condos will hit the market in the fall and based on the amount of as of right buildable square footage should be between 1500 to 2000 sqft each.
