Greystone along with Continental Properties and Itzahki properties are developing condos within the landmarked West Village historic district at 130 7th avenue south. Greystone has just acquired a major interest in this project and according to reports they will develp condos of approximately 2500 square foot. Based on the zoning, it appears they will develop 2-3 condos on top of retail.
Given that this property will need LPC approval, this project is probably at least 2-3 years away from completion. The building housed a Le Pain Quitodien as of November last year according to the photo provided by Propertyshark.com. If you look closely at the photo, the building next door has terraces that are cantilevering over 130 7th avenue. Will those terraces have to be removed? Also,by the time this property hits the market, will the market still be supporting a $7mm apartment on 7th avenue south?
