West 110th street subway station to open this Saturday

After 5 months of being closed for repairs and improvements, on Saturday southbound service will begin again and on Tuesday northbound service will resume. The MTA announced that the project was completed on time and on budget. The station had closed April 9th.

Uber and Lyft are changing where people live in NYC

According to the latest reports and anecdotes from top brokers, proximity to subway access is beginning to lose it’s importance to affluent Manhattan property buyers. This is due directly to the emergence of Uber and Lyft. Riding in the car, you can continue to be productive so it’s not as important to be 3 blocks away from the subway.

3 Upper west side subway stations to close for up to 6 months for digital upgrades

The 110th street, 86th street and 72nd street B,C subway stations on Central Park west will close for up 6 months for digital upgrades and other improvements. This will start in April. Each subway station serves over 10,000 riders per day. No additional 1,2,3 service or buses is scheduled by the MTA.
