Ariana Grande and fiance Pete Davidson purchase luxury apartment in West Chelsea

Ariana Grande and her fiance SNL’s Pete Davidson have purchased in the Zaha Hadid building in West Chelsea. The building is full of amenities including a private Imax Theater and skylit pool. There are 39 units in the building with 5 showing as active on listings site Streeteasy. Prices range from just over $5mm to over $13 mm for the available units.

Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard leases pad in 72 story luxury tower in Midtown

Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard, aka Thor, is riding high these days due to his team’s current 9 game winning streak and major league best 11-1 record. When he wants to unwind however, he relaxes in the luxury apartment he just rented in Sky, a luxury rental building which has over 1000 units.  The building, with 70,000 square foot of amenities, has been the residence of choice for other local athletes including AJ Ramos and several New York Knicks players.

Sting rents a upper floor apartment in West Chelsea luxury building

The late Dame Zaha Hadid designed 520 West 28th street, is now home to Sting and his wife Trudy Styler. The Related building features a 75 foot sky-lit pool, spa, 24 hour juice bar and robotic parking. The West Chelsea building has 30 units and it appears that it is nearly sold out. Closings began mid 2017 with 6 apartments showing available on streeteasy from just over $5 million to $16 million. Two apartments are for rent- one for $15,750 and one for $26,000.

Bruce Willis purchases at 1 West end avenue

1 WEA one of the final pieces of the Riverside Center project is apparently going to be the home of Bruce Willis and family. He is in contract to buy a 3000 sqft pad at the new condo building.

Streeteasy.com is showing 85 listings in the building with 74 in contract. The building is full of amenities including a 75 foot pool, 12,000 sqft outdoor terrace with cabanas and fitness center.

Jennifer Lawrence condo shopping in TriBeCa

Jennifer Lawrence was spotted condo shopping and reportedly was checking out a condo in Manhattan’s TriBeCa nabe in the 443 Greenwich street condo conversion. The building has an underground garage which makes it paparazzi proof according to LINK.

If she is in that area looking for a condo, one block away and with water views is 70 Vestry which is a ground up condo construction which features a porte-cochere, swimming pool and many of the apartments have water views. This building is designed by Robert A.M. Stern and features the interior design of Daniel Romauldez. Prices start at $7mm.

Facade work going on at the Dakota

These pictures just taken show the Dakota undergoing some sort of work. The exterior facade on 2 of 3 sides has scaffolding and a sheath covering it. The North side of the building is free of any scaffolding at least for now. The building known for it’s famous residents including John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Six apartments in the iconic co-op are available for sale from $1,850,000 for a one bedroom with carrying charges of just under $3,000 to over $16 million for a 3 bedroom with a monthly maintenance of over $11,000.

NY Ranger center buys NYC condo in Tribeca

Derick Brassard has purchased a 6th floor 2bd/2.5ba Tribeca condo for $4.1 million at 1 York street. The amenities at 1 York include a swimming pool,  sun deck,  and fitness center. The apartment has 14-foot ceilings, and views of the Empire State Building. The monthly carrying charges are just under $3k. Currently, there are 4 apartments available for sale in the 32 unit full service building. The prices range from $2.695 million to $18 million for a 4bd/4.5ba 5350 sqft offering.

 

Cristiano Ronaldo buys in Trump Tower 721 Fifth avenue

According to NYPOST, the Real Madrid soccer star has bought a 2509 sqft condo in Trump Tower at 721 Fifth avenue. Speculation is that Ronaldo may be coming to play for the New York City FC or the Red Bulls. He purchased the apartment for $18.5 million from one of Donald Trump’s partners Alessandro Proto.

The Trump Tower was built in 1983 and has 238 units spread over 58 stories.  Currently, the most expensive listing is 3725 sqft and being offered  for $23 mm and the least expensive listing is a 1058 sqft 1bd/1.5 ba apartment for $2.4mm.

Venus and Serena Williams sell NYC apt for $750k profit

The Williams sisters,  champions on the court are adding to their winnings after selling their apartment at 28 W 38 street for a cool $750k profit about 10 years after buying it. They never really got around to furnishing the apartment according to NYDN. The apartment was set up as a 1 bedroom but could have been converted to a 2 or even 3 bedroom apartment is located in the Wheeler building which is a co-op that allows pied-a-terres and pets.

More celebrities headed to Harlem

According to NYPost, Steven Pasquale best known for his role in Rescue Me has purchased a penthouse in Harlem’s 1 year old building Uptown 58 for $1.56 million. The aprtment located at 58 West 129 street just off Lenox avenue has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths and was on the market for a little over a year. The 7 story building features only 19 units and has a bike storage, package room, a garden and roof deck.

Recently as well Alex Trebek of “Jeopardy” bought a $2 million Harlem brownstone for his sone Matthew, who plans to open a restaurant there. That townhouse located at 310 West 140 street sold for $1.92 million. The townhouse had a 2bd/3ba duplex plus 2 floor through one bedroom apartments for rental income.
